Tom Carney inherited the Carney home farm. He married Nellie Hannon from Dernabruck. Nellie's parents were Patrick (Shinners) Hannon and Mary Vesey from Derreen. Mary was a sister to Bridget Vesey who married Eddie McGeever.
Tom and Nellie's children were :- John , Mary, Evelyn, Nora, Josephine and Thomas Gerald. Here's a picture of Nellie and John with Bridget McGeever's brother Michael.

• John Carney's daughter, Evelyn, married James Finn.
• Thomas Gerald married Sheila Finneran from Athlone.

Winnie Carney married Peter Finn from Doon Rock and had children Peter Joe and Bea.

Honorah ( Nora ) married Michael Clancy. They had a daughter Mary Evelyn ( probably born in 1919 ).

Margaret Mary Carney married Orin Nichols in Lowell, Massachusetts, USA. She died of consumption with a 1-year-old daughter. Orin died of pneumonia in Lincoln, Maine where his mother had a farm.
Margaret Mary's children were :-

• Evelyn Nichols - who has 3 daughters ( including Mary and Peggy ) & 1 son.
• Bernice Nichols.
• Mary Margaret Nichols (9/30/1918 - 3/1/1992) married Philip C. Moran ( 20/10/1917 - 22/1/1994) on 25/1/1941.They lived in Garden Grove, California.

  • Mary married Jack Neal on 16/5/1964. Their family are :-
