Maggi's Home Page

This site began as a way for me to keep track of who the children were at family parties.

Nowadays, I am constantly impressed by the wonderful people those children have grown up to be, their achievements and, increasingly, by their own children (who I meet at family parties !).

The site has been updated periodically over the years and now contains my family tree and a few photos. It has also become a genealogical resource for visitors from all over the world and I'm very grateful to you all for the wonderful messages and reminiscences you send.

It is as well to remember when visiting, though, that this is a hobby website and will always be a work in progress. The information is, therefore, almost certainly incomplete and inaccurate. If you can help me get it up-to-date with any information you have, please let me know. Please do not rely on anything contained here as being other than somebody's memory or something that seemed likely at one time.

New !The families listed in these pages have their origins around Cloontia - a small area in the rural West of Ireland. I've recently discovered the 1901 census which includes Cloontia and the surrounding areas listed under the parish of Kilbeagh, Barony of Costello, Co. Mayo. I've included excerpts on pages where I've been able to identify particular family records.

There are two other new pages - Chronology and Birthdays. The first shows all the family events that I have dates for, the second shows who was born in each month. If your family event does not appear, please send me the details.

Copious apologies to anyone I've missed out or whose name I've misspelt. Drop me a line and I'll include you soon.

At the bottom of each family tree page, there are options to widen the frame ( so you can see the family tree more clearly ) and to return to this page.

Any problems, use the feedback form or write to webmaster.
